Eliza A. White (maiden name: Simonton) was born around 1821 in Camden, Maine. She married Robert White on October 7, 1845, and they had at least four children: Robert, born around 1847; Fannie, born around 1852; Nellie, born around 1853; and Henry, born around 1860. They lived in Belfast, Maine, and her husband worked as a shipbuilder. They owned $2,500 of real estate in 1850; a decade later, their wealth had grown to $4,000 of real estate and $20,000 of personal property. Her husband died on December 31, 1866. She remained in Belfast with her children, and by 1870, she owned $4,000 of real estate and $15,000 of personal property. By 1900, she was living with her son Henry in Farmington, Maine. She died of pneumonia there on May 24, 1901.
