Mary Angeline Mason
Mary Angeline Mason (maiden name: Cheney) was born around 1821 in New York. She eventually moved to Pennsylvania, and she married William Mason on September 23, 1841. They had at least five children: Etherin, born around 1843; Ida, born around 1845; Mary, born around 1847; William, born around 1850; and Clayton, born around 1854.
 
They lived in Cherry, Pennsylvania, and her husband worked as a surveyor. By 1850, they owned $300 of real estate. By 1870, they were living in Monroe, Pennsylvania, and her husband was working as a civil engineer. They owned $3,000 of real estate and $800 of personal property. A decade later, they were living in Laporte, Pennsylvania. According to one writer, she and her husband “lived happily together for over fifty years.” He died on January 7, 1892. She remained in Laporte, and by 1900, she was living in her son Clayton’s household. She died sometime after 1900.
