Sarah Wilkinson
Sarah Wilkinson was born on March 5, 1841, in Indiana to John and Eusebia Wilkinson. Her father was a farmer who owned $800 of real estate and $700 of personal property by 1860. The family lived in Vermillion, Indiana, until the 1850s, when they moved to Gentry County, Missouri.

She married David M. Hiatt on March 11, 1866, and their daughter Annie was born around 1867. They moved to Monmouth, Oregon, in the mid-1860s, and her husband worked as a blacksmith there. They moved to Cornelius, Oregon, in the 1870s, and her husband died sometime in the late 1880s. She married Ellis Dixon sometime before 1900, and they lived in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dixon probably died in the early 1900s, and by 1910, she was living with her daughter Anna in Forest Grove. She died there of “senile bronchial pneumonia” on July 2, 1922.
