Dear Brother and Sister
 
as Rhuben was a writing to day I thought write a few lines my helth is so poor that I have no ambition to write or doo much els-B and I have ben sick most all winter and my baby has not gaind a bu half of a pound sinse last september I am a going to try to weane him next weak and am in hopes he will be beter when I get able to go to Framtn I will get his likeness tacon for you
 
I am a fraid I will not be able to visite you or go so far from home I am hardley able to ride to Lacey Vill and the nurve of my write limb is so badley ingurd that I am a fraid I never will have much use of it I can walk to the barn because it down hill but it is most very hurd work to walk back my limd will give out before I get back O if I could onely doo my work onse more how thankfull I would bee if I could leave my Baby at home and could stand it the/it to go to your place I think it would doo me good but I am not unliss I get better I went to one of the neighbours yesterday a visiteing and had to go to bed tell Emit I will hafto knitt him a pare of mittenz because he remembers anty and wants pa to write to hur I would like to see him if I had no baby I would go to your house this summer if I could get there and hire my board this summer I gues you will think I have got the blues when you read/this but you would not wonder at it if you could see me
 
Mason is a great boy he says he will stay at home and doo the work if pa and I will go to uncle Enrys my hed feels so bad I cant write eny mor write often as you can
