Dear Cinda it is now sunday after noon and since I wrote this the order of things has materially changed we ar going up the Mississippi to the mouth of White River one hundred and 50 miles above hear & one hundred below hellina My leters wer not sent and I have torn them open this one was directed hom But I got one from you yesteray saying you was going to LeRoy and I will send this there We are all much Pleased to go up the River out of these swamps I will send the Leter that I had writen to you at LeRoy home fearing you may Be there and be anxious about me But you will get them Both in time I think I shall hear from you again soon you must write often I hope you will get this and then you will have the history of the affair/
 
I think you are in LeRoy but if you are I think they will forward my leters to you Be sure and write and dont worry for I dont think we shall have another fight in some time if we do I shall do the best I can and trust in the Lord dont worry but take all the comfort you can Take good care of yourself and Pet and use all the money you need no more at Present I will write evry oppertunity But that will not be often
