wall it is evening I have ben to hear Mr (?) preach he got home friday is going back tues week we are all well and doing as well as can be expected nothing new about here. I got A letter from Dick Benson and Nett yesterday it come by the way of dar Morse he wrote a few lines nothing worth reading dick wrote A good letter so did Nett dick has Bought him a farm one mill from Alba of 26 acres lives like fun I suppose they have got another girl 4 month old that beats me I think they goit in old age. Sam Newman has gone to the war he got up A company in Caton. he is on the Potomac river in Maryland. Will Munly and Jim Benson has gone with him dick dont say what office he holds I hope it is one that will break his neck dont you dick says he got to a poor man and had to go to war Tory Vanfleet is maried to Sally/Ingham Aunt Deby has broke leg Marlin his leg so you see they have breaking times out there But it make me feel like going out there if could only no how you would make it I would fix and go I see some times I think I will shut the house up and go and stay till fall and come back here if I go I want to go by the first of may I waite and see what you think about it I think it cost me mor to live than when you was here it seems foolish for me to stay here alone when I can ejoy myself so much better But I want to do what is for the Best. I shall rest easey on you fortune till I seen it aint true I think of you all the time and wish I could no if you have got my letters if you get them I will write twice as much Leuisa trys to be A good girl but I dont like her you must be carfl what you write to Gasten for they are auful particular and modest it is half past ten I will leave you this time hopeing to hear from you soon little bub is sleeping now when he wakes in the morning he will call Pa come home see the baby he talks plainr now I took him to wygants yesterday they are well good by
