Cousin it is with pleasure that I set to myself this morning to rite you afew lines to inform you that we are geting on verry well in Camp &c. we have plenty to eat if we had eny one to cook it. I have seen some of the worst cooked bred here than I ever seen in all of my life, though we have nothing to cook with but frying pans. and we place them over the figher and it burns before it will turn, so you can judge for your self as to our fair, we have ben moterd into servise on last munday, but we cant tell when we will leave this place, we/are now governd by Col. Ictor and master Daniel, whar ever they say go we go: to execute the commands that will be given us. or fall in the attemp in so doaing. all our regiment is composed of ten companyes from our native State whitch you know will do to stand or by in time of peace or in time of war. Couson I woud like to mor but I have thre or fore letters to rite this morning John is now at the branch washing and I will let him fill up this letter. so you see I must come to a close give my love to all inqureing frens if eny and except the same your self. rite to me as soon as you can. so good by.
