I will now take a new start I think that I have riten enough for one but I have this much more paper and I send too as I borowed it to write to you Mary I you my most heartiest thanks for them leggings and gloves you all sent me though I have/not got them yet though I will get them in a few days Mary I have no other news now you must excuse my bad speling and riting I am so anxious to hear from home I can hardly bee still Mary you write to me as soon as you get this and tell me how James and all the boys are geting along tell James to rite to/to me I have not heard a word from him personly yet only the family are all well henry Dock ma sam mat Lum you havent nothing about nun of them only sum had I the company when you write tell me something about them all I would like to you all tell them all howdy and mother and father/Mary I must now close I recon you are tired of reading my news as it is not much interesting to you Mary you may think that I ought to get a heap of news but it is the poorest place for news I ever saw you can hear any thing you want to hear an nun of it so I must close I have not room good by nothing more at present I remain your most affectionate brother till death J.
