…time you write I like to hear the news at any and all times give my best respects to the girls and especially sis as she is a whispering about me and send her respects you must not let Billy cal me out as I Don’t writ to her you may tell her I think she that name would suit her verry well Mrs Taylor but she had better form some acquaintance with him before she goes too far I think tell all the girls howdy as if I had named them all I would like to see them all but it would bee hard to tell when I can get home at such a time as this and so far from home if we were nearer home we mite get off some time but it is so/far if we were to travel it would take all the time to go home and back a gain we wouldent stay at home any we I must change the subject a gain I heard from sam the other Day he spoke of comeing up but orderly heard advised him to stay for 10 Days longer before he comes these lines leave me as well as common Brother Jef has been complaining a Day or two tip is at the hospital a gain he had the chills we have only a bout 48 men for Duty now out of 114 the largest portion of them is sick the rest of us are nearly run Down we nead rest verry bad well I must come to a close nothing more I remain your loveing Brother till Death J.
