My Dear Mother & Sister
                                                I Recon that you think that I have bin very Slow About answering of your kind letter that I Recieved by Willie. I was glad to heare that mother stood the Trip better than She expected too, Though Jane Told me when she came that you was very feeble & worn out when you got to her house. I was very uneasy about you untill I heard from you These lins leaves us all as well as common, Though My health is very poor. I have not set up a day hardly all day since you left & our children some of them have bin quite sick Benny & Johnnie with catarel fever, they have about got well now. The Beltioun are all well so far as I know except Mary Ann Harderson. She is sick Willie said that she was better yesterday when he came from thaire I have not seen brother Ben, since you & I ware up thaire I dont evin heare from him I think that he must be very busy. yis tod. cousen Barbary Bedenbaugh told me that sis Jane had had another flourry like the other that she had but was not so bad off as she was before She did not keep her bed but afew days but I have not seen any of the family since Willie went home. you see gethering time come very soon, & Mr Taylor has bin too Busy to go up thaire gethering his crop & puting up a surup Mill & him & the Dr Bought a screw Iron & they have bin very busy So that he stays right at home & dont go to town/
 
We have a Store heare now that keeps every thing I Believe that we all kneed with out so we dont have to go to Town every time we want a pound of soda or box of Matches or any thing els. the Cotton crop throug heare is very much cut off by the dry wether the corn crops are very good potatoes & pea crops are cut of & it is hard to get Turnip seed to come up it has bin so dry, though we had a fine season yesterday & it look like it will rain more yet. our school will be out in three weeks, our Teacher & his Daughter still Board with us. Well now Mother we are geting very anctious to know when you will come back. we would be glad for you to come soon. Mr. Taylor says if you will come on the cars he will pay your way he says if you had rather come through pleas get brother Tommy or brother Henry & brother John to bring you as my health is so bad he hats to leave home, but if they cant he says that he would have to go one day & back the next & I dont think that him not Mother neither could stand such a trip as that it would mak them sick. I want you mother to set your own time to come back you dont put it off to long. I want to heare from you all as soon as you recieve this & tell us about your coming & when it will suit you for we want you to come just as soon as you can make your arrangments so that you can stay satisfied. Mr Taylor joins me in sending love to you Mother & to all of the kin as if each one naimed

Ps I have not told you about the meeting we had at Mt Pilgrem it was a great meeting 13 joined the church & our little Tommie was one of that number I was not able to attend that meeting nor the Methodist the Methodist only lasted 4 days did not get any new members though they had good preaching    MT
