                                                Dear Susan I seat my self this butiful Morning to drop you a fu lins this leaves me well I am in hops that this may find you and familey well and the conection and friends Susan we are Camped 4 miles North of Dalton we are having our board hold to us this is a butiful camping grond though I expect that it will be a batle feald be fore long tha is a good eal of talk of the yankes advansing Susan I have nothing to write that is interesting I want to send this by Mrs Pris Strother She have ben up hear a litle over a weak she will start home to morough I recon I am in hops that the time will soon come when we can all be to geather with out the women having to have to be put to so much truble to go to see thear husbands and then tha can have some enjoyment when tha get to see each other I wish that I cold get to be with you though I think that thare is but little injoyment for women in camp/
 
Well I dont know any thing more to write I have rote once since I have reseved are leter from you
 
I hear tha Grant have got back to Chatnogia I recon he thinks that he canot do without us though I think that we cold do with out him veare well I feare that he will flank us a gain and we will have to fite back I heare the canon roring pretey regelry this morning though I think that it will be a sevel days be fore we will have to fite heare for I dont think that the yankes will run on us untill tha cut Ditches we have some veary good ones though I fear that tha are not long a nuf for all to get in to to fite I must close it is time that I was starting this to Pris Give my love to Mother and as the conection and friends and save a good poshon for your self Good by for the presant       W A S
