Dear Susan I this evening take the pleasure of droping you a fu lins though I have rote to you 3 or 4 times since I have hearn from you this leaves me well the helth of the co is veary good at presant I am in hops that this may find you all well and doing well. the Armistus is out and I recon that we will have to go to fiten a gain we moved down hear this weak and I think that we can get our mail now I am in hops that we can for I want to hear from you veary bad we are a retchrenching a gain I hearn this evening that the yankes was in 2 miles of us I was in hops that thare wold be peas maid before we got in shooting distearnt a gain/
Susan I have rote to you to send me some closing I did not rite that be cose I have none I can do veary well a good while yet though I dont be leave that thare will be much chance to draw closing and I have nun to by any how if I canot get them from home I had rether by them than for you to have to make them if I cold get them I wold like to have a Pare of pants & drawers 2 Pare of Socks 1 Sheart and that coat that you sent to me last fall if you can make the Sleaves a litle smoler from the elbow to the rist just a bout 2 or 3 inches shorter the Sleaves was too long and too larg I recon that thare will be pasing be fore [?] I dont no what more to write I had rether see you than to write a [?] I must quit yours WAS
