Captain Geo. W. Yates 13th Missouri Cavalry, and Brevet Lieut Col U.S.Volunteers about to be mustered out of Service, is desirous of obtaining an appointment in the regular Army.
I take pleasure in saying, that in my opinion, Colonel. Yates. would make an Excellent officer.
His habits are unexceptionable, is Young, active, Energetic, and well Educated.
Any regiment of the Army might be proud of him as an officer and Gentleman,

I have known Brevet Lieut Col Yates for over a year, and he is an officer of fine ability, Excellent habits, and Every way fitted for a position in the Army.
He was Brevetted for Conspicuous Gallantry at Fredericksburg, Beverly Ford, & Gettysburg.
