    Dear Brother
               The bearer of this is my most
intimate friend by name Mr John L Waters      he
is a Jerseyman from near Tuckahoe.    You will find
him a very pleasant as well as reliable and responsible
person.     if there is any small articles or messages you
wish to send to me give them to him.
 
     On his arrival to Philadelphia he will
forward this with the umark when he will be
in Philada. again and where you can see him.
I thought this opportunity to hear from some one
else from this country would be pleasant.    Any
kindness extended to him will be reciprocated
