I shall have to go on picket to night so I will not have time to write much this time. There was 28 rebs come in as deserters last night and they all had there guns with them there is from ten to fifteen comes in evry night now.
My health is very good you wished to know how my head was getting along it is not entirely well yet and the hair does not grow on it the/wound there is a place as big as a silver dollar that is bare and very tender. the Doctor says they do not think I can do duty when it gets warm weather. When I get tired I have the headache all the time. We have been moveing camp and have not got as good tents as we did have but we can live in them. Our raitions is poor and scearce but I have some money and can get along. Our duty is quite hard when we are on picket they will not let us sleep at all. It is most time to go on picket so I must close pleas excuse me for this time wont you
