Susan Gregg
Susan Gregg (maiden name: Husten) was born around 1830 in Pennsylvania. By 1850, she was living with Samuel and Susan Batcher in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She married John D. Gregg on December 4, 1854, and their son Milford was born on April 29, 1856. They lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and her husband worked as a policeman. By 1860, they owned $200 of personal property.
 
Her husband enlisted in the Union army in August 1862, and he died in the Battle of Five Forks on April 1, 1865. She applied for a widow’s pension on May 26, 1865, and she eventually secured one. She died in Philadelphia on February 7, 1870.
