George Warren Emmons
George Warren Emmons was born on July 12, 1833, in Walpole, New Hampshire, to Samuel Emmons and Eliza Warren.
 
In August 1861, he received a commission as a 1st lieutenant in Company G of the 3rd New Hampshire Infantry. He was promoted to captain on April 2, 1862, and he resigned on September 18, 1863. He married Emeline E. Follansbee on November 3, 1862. They moved to Quincy, Illinois, in the 1860s, and Emmons worked at a livery stable. By 1870, he owned $3,000 of personal property.
 
They moved to Boston, Massachusetts, in the 1870s, and Emmons worked as a railroad clerk there. They employed at least one white domestic servant. They moved to Dorchester, Massachusetts, in the 1880s. He died of pneumonia in Boston on February 28, 1895.
