Freeland G. Hendren
Freeland G. Hendren was born around 1829 in Tennessee. By 1850, he was working as a farmer in Tipton, Tennessee. In May 1861, he received a commission as a 3rd lieutenant in Company A of the 6th Tennessee Infantry. The regiment took part in the Battle of Shiloh. He was promoted to 2nd lieutenant on October 1, 1861, and he resigned on May 2, 1862. He died sometime after leaving the army.
