            My Dear Agnes

I am again seated to write you my regular sabbath letter. I have been on a visit up to my sisters and brothers since I last wrote you. returned here on last evening I am getting much better so I can walk with out a cane but my knee is a little stiff but think it will be all right in a week or so. I was to visit my new sisterinlaw while up the river found her very lively and full of fun yet a christian woman. I have been to church this morning and heard a splendid sermon it rather seems odd for me to attend church, but I always did attend when I was here before going to the army and also sabbath school and to day/have made a start to church and think by next sabbath morning I will be able to attend the sabbath school. my brother is at home from the woods he has been away from his family nearly seven weeks and intends going back on thirsday next to stay I do not know just how long but for at least a month. I intend going to work by tomorrow a week at my trade as my place on the planeing mill has been reserved for me and I wish to visit you before I commence work my visit will be very short as I will come down in an evening train and return next morning. I will come down on tuesday evening as perhaps you will be at more leisure then than any other time as I suppose your boarders will then be at their homes on account of the election you can look for me to come down in the evening train if nothing happens my visit will not be a lengthy one but I hope a very happy one as I/have something I wish to consult you about. and I want to see you I look quite often at your photo but that is not your self. I am going to steal a kiss when I come now you had better watch me for you do not know how many pretty girls I kiss here. there is to be a big dinner here on wednesday noon at my brothers but I think some of the young company will be much disappointed when they find me absent but I cannot help it since my return I have been obliging other folks and discommoding my self for which I have already paid dearly and now I am for my self and not for others except one you know who that one is If you do not I will tell you when I come down to see you. Dear Agnes I have written perhaps full enough for this time and will close my love to your mother Aunt C Dan and others excepting for yourself that portion due you which is large. your true lover                     F.
