My Dear Agnes
I am seated this gloomy afternoon to write to you my regular weekly letter since last sabbath my knee has been quite bad not the cut but I have had a large carbuncle under my knee but it has now got well and I intend going to work tomorrow morning if nothing happens I tell you I have had a very tedious time with my knee. but I am in hopes it will not bother me any more this winter. I am enjoying my self very well have been to one wedding since I last wrote you we had real nice time that was on tuesday evening last I might have enjoyed my self much better had I not/had such a sore limb but I was bound to go to the wedding whether I enjoyed myself or not. but if I live I am anticipating a better time at some other wedding where perhaps I may be the real enjoyer. not I alone but but some one els I wish to be there to enjoy all the pleasure that a bride can wish. I have been to church to day and to sabbath school and intend going to church again to night it will not be very pleasant but yet it is not like wading through the mud the pavements are good and it is not far to the church if I make up my mind to settle here I will join the sabbath school as a teacher and think some of choosing a seat in church but will wait until I fully make up my mind what I shall do I have been looking around for a lot but property is so very high here that I am scared out as for buying but I think there will be a fall in the price of land and then I will be ready for to buy/
well my Dear Agnes as this is Sunday I will say no more about buisness I will leave buisness matters until buisness days. I have been looking for a letter from you evry evening but I shall keep on looking for I am pretty sure I will get one this week what do you think. I know I want to hear from you just about as bad as any fellow you ever knew. I wish you were here to go with me to church or I were down there to accompany you to church but as such cannot be to night we must be content until we are fortunate enough to meet each other again. I have no news of interest to write and as it is now near church time I will close give my love to one and all reserving largely for your self
from your true lover
