My Dear Wife
I seat my self to write you a short letter to let you know I am well hoping you are enjoying the same blessing. I commenced work yesterday. Uncle Archy was here yesterday was up to the mill to see me and in the evening was with him out to the seminary he was to see his niece and some others with whom he was acquainted him and I were talking about the sale it is all right or will be very soon so he told me but you had better keep it quiet not let any one know it except your mother/
Archy says we will have to give possession the first of may I have got evry thing done here I can do until we get moved I have wood and am going to commence whitewashing tomorrow evening up stairs. my Dear wife I am very anxious to get moved and settled for then I know I will be contented I have a nice place to work and handy to where we live if I have my health I think I can do very well. I have dug a little garden planted the onions beets and sowed the onion seed and intend planting some peas yet this week.
I will get some potatoes on saturday so we will have them when we come up. I do not know of any thing els if there is write and let me know. it is now 9 oclock PM and I am about to retire but have no fond wife to caress to night but though we are separated yet/our love is warm and true I miss you so much. give my love to mother & all the rest
