Dear Fathe
I thought I would write a few lines to let you know where I was we started from Camp Berry last Tuesday and arrived hear at Alexa to day at Leven oclock we shall not stop hear long but we have not heard how long we shall stay hear but I hop we shall move soon Albert Moulton has just told me that we start to morrow for the Potomic River and it will take us three days to gow I shall be glad when we get to a stoping plase for we fare hard on the road last night/was the first night rest that we had since we left Camp Berry I am well and hope you are the same and all the rest of my Dear Friends the snow is bout all gone out hear but it is not so warm as I thougt it would be out hear I shall not write much now for I have not got time it is most dark the Boys are all well don’t you write till I send another letter I suppose you have got the money that I sent you it was 100 Dollars that I sent good night
