Division Hospital Oct 3th /1864
Dear Father
I sit my self down to write you a few lines to let you know whare I am and that I am well I left the Regiment last Tuesday morning and come to the Division Hospital I am not far from City Point I dont know how long I shall stop here I hope I shall be sent to the core Hospital soon the way they do is to sent the ones that is the Sickest to the core Hospital first I am well all but my arm as long as I stay here I cant get any letters from you for thaire is no mail comes here so you nead not write to me untill you get a nother letter from me
I went to the core/Hospital yesterday and seed Albert Moulton it was the first time I had seed him since I left winter quarters I found him geting better he was very glad to see me he told me that he should pay me that ten Dollars that I left with him I saw Georg Hutchings he is geting better th
they are having some heavy fighting to the front now I can hear the firing. yesterday it was very heavy on the left I heard yesterday that some of ower Regiment was taken Prisoners I have not much to write at presant Father dot dont worry a bout me I will write again soon I hope this letter will find you all well good by from
