Dear Sister
I received the letter this morning that you and John wrote last Sunday it was a good while coming it found me well and in good Spirets hopping that we shall soon start for Washington the talk is now that we are gowing to start this week for Washington I hope by the time you get this letter I shall be on my way thare.
we are having warm weather here now every thing looks nice and Green Geo. Hutchins and Charles Banks are in Dismounted Camp Geo. is not well he has got the Diarrihoea/
ower Regiment is near Petersburg I heard it was agowing to start to morrow for Washington I hope this is the last Sunday I shall be in Va. I got a letter from Rufus Grant last week and one from Lowell I got the Paper this morning with the letter tell Father I think I shall be at home to help him do the Haying.
I cannot write much to day all I think about is getting home for I feel asthough I shall be with you be fore long give my love to all the folk excuse my short letter I will draw to a close hoping this will find you all well if I stop here I will write this week
