Peter Taylor
                        Dear Brother I recd yours and am glad to hear that you are all well. This is saturday afternoon and there is no school. I am writing this in the College room the Key is left so we can go in and leave when we please. I shall stay here a week or two longer If I get a chance to Keep Books or sell goods for a month or so I shall take it if not I shall come home when I get through
 
I board at a private Boarding House—have to pay $3.50 for Week
 
Hope you will have a good time at the wolf hunt
 
I suppose Mary is at Janesville at school how is she getting along/
 
How does fr Fred Cottle get along with the school
 
Enclosed I send you some of Lincolns Writing
 
Hoping this will find you all well
