Dear Mother
I received yours of the 21st last night and two from Sarah one 27st one of the 24th they must have been delayed on the road. you say I do not write vary often well Ma I confess I do not. nor do I get as many from you and Father as I should think I would you say you have a good deal of work to do well I suppose you do. and all the time I have to eat do my writeing and all is three hours a day. but that does not make any differance. I will ans all you both will write to me/ if it is two a weak the more the better. for I am lonesom and a letter from home does me lots of good. we expect to go to Washington or some whear near thear pretty soon. the Govermment is a going to furnish theyr six hundre horses first. we ar a going there to drill them and as soon as the Reg is filled up then we shall have the horses sent to us from home. I suppose you have seen Martain Karr by this time he can tell you more than I can write. Father wanted to know if I had not better sell my steare on account of the fodder, but you know Edwin sayed there was twice as much hay as there was last, and you wrote me som time a go that Father would take cair of my stock for me and I have depended on it, and as for selling them I shall not for I am bound to keep all of my stock if I have not fodder enough of my part I will by some. you can write and let me know if you think there is and if there is not I will pay you for the trouble of getting some more and for keeping my stock this winter. but I must end. ans soon this is from your ever true Son Albt
