Dear Brother.
I received that revolver you sent and was very glad to get it it is a nice one there is not so nice a one in the regiment some of the oicers wanted to get by it but I toled them that I would not part with it I am well and harty the troops are coming into kentuckey very fast now there will be a btle here prety soon now when we have it if I do not get killed I will write imediatly but I am In a hury and must Stop write soon direct to louis vile
