                                                                                                Columbus April 17th 64
 
Dear Brother
                        It is with pleasure sitdown to inform you that I am sick abed but looking for watchers I arrived in camp to day great excitement prevails here There has nothing of note taken place since I left there I left Phillip all [?] and all the rest of the folks the same I had a good time down in Renox I donot know of any thing to write the boys are making so much noise I cannot see There is 40 boys at home now on veteran fourlough It is raining down here to day We have not got settled/ down in camp yet the boys have just moved camp yet not got straight yet
