It is with Pletcher that I set down to right A few lines to you in ancer to yours that I receved on the 4 of Sept and I was gld glad to heer from you but I was sory to heer that you was sick but glad to heer that you was getting beter I am well at present and having A nise time heer live prety well Jane you sed you liked it thare Prety well and I am glad of it you had a nise time going thare had A nise ride to I ges you wont stay thare long you will get homesick tell dont that I wold like to heer from him firstrate/ and tell ant to right to I ges dont likes it beter thare by whot you say wal I dont wonder at it for hee was living on sweed hill half way up to heven that is what is the mates of Dont Janey I hav not hurd from home for som time but shall look for one to day I shant seel this letter till I get one from home so I can tell you how thare geting along well Janey I will quite for the Present
 
Wel Jane I agen take my Pen in hand to right A few lines more to you Jane it is geting neer time fore mee to go to the Ofes and see if I can get A letter from home I hav been looking for one some time/
 
Janey thare is Prety good news of the army know Janey I wold like to heer that the hole reble army had throone down there armes and come into our lines that wold sute mee Prety well youno for I am geting sick of it know I hope thay will let the soldiers go home to vote this fall then I wold Com that way and take you home with mee wold that sute you yes I think that I can ancer that for you but I ges thare wont bee eny danger of it that wold bee to god luck for mee you know Janey well that is anof of that for this time I will go down and see if thare is A letter for mee and then I will finish the letter for yose.
 
Wel Janey I hav been down to the Post ofes but did not get eny letter I will soon get mad and not go after them if thay do com
