Camp Near Fredricksburg
Dear wife as I was riting to William I thought that I would rite A few lines to you for paper and invelops ar rather scars and not mutch chance in geting of it I am well and hope that this will find you the same I received your leter with posted stamps in som time ago our mail has all ketch up with ous now John has got the gandes and has gon to the hospitel in A private house not far from hear wee have bin hear A weak to day som say that thare wont be aney fiting this fall but these camp storys wee cant depend on thare is A litel diferant movements this morning but all is qiet again so wee cant tell mutch what thay will/ do but let them do as thay will if wee onley meat once more in good helth and in A short time I have not got any pay yet and do not now when when wee will my paper is most all gon I borowed 10 cent this morning and got 6 sheats of paper that [paper fold] Since we have bin hear thare are A good maney sick and som more that want to be thare is not mutch to rite about no more at presant for I must go to geting diner my love to you all and I would com my self if I could get in side of the invelop from your husband
