                                                                                                            Dear wife I take
the plesare of writing A few more lines to you again I have not bin very well since I roate last but am betar now I hope that this may find you all well I expected to of got A letar from you last night but was disappointed but hope that I will get one to night it is awful hot wether hear now one of the 3d boyes Leige Cook was hear yestarday he said that thay wear going to starte for home to day James Re is lame so that he could not com over/ hear so that I wonte get A chance to see him before he comes home but I hope it wonte be longe before I see you all in Camden thay say hear that Genral Halock is goinge to take the field with Hoocker thare is not mutch news to rite this time John Swanson is well he can eat his own rations and mine to David Galord is our Compan Cook he is well John has got to be A Corporel the Camden boyes are all well I forgot to answer ma punkin storey but I must of seen one of the horses on the other side of the raphanock for he was so poor that/ he had to lean against A tree to eat grass I gess that he had nothing but punkins to eat for the last three months if you see that man you can tell him whare to finde one of his horses I will wait now untill night an see if I donte get a letar I have waited but no mail for me to night have you forgot me I thinke not but it dos seam hard that I cant hear from you oftenar but I do hope that God will promite me to return to my dear fameley soon John got A letar from Lucey Thalman last night it was mailed on monday last so that the mail seams to/ com through I donte feal like riting so you must excuse this short letar for this is three lettars in A week no more at this time my love to you all and may God be with you all from your
