Dear wife with plesure I set dow to answer your kind letar of the 21 and was glad to hear from you for I have not heard from aney bodey since A week before I came to the hospital my eyes is geting som bettar and I have good care and good vitals and A very good head but how long I will stay hear I cant tell for the wounded ceep coming and thay ceep sending those that are able to other hospitals wee have got A new dockter this morning and he is dutch Marey I have A chance to go to A dutch churtch evry Sunday for the chaplin is A Episkipalion I went to meting twice last Sunday and if I am well anoff probley will go to morow you said I would want your care so I do but you left me in the care of one that is able to take care of boath soal and boday and I hope and pray that he will watch gide and protect me and my famley through this wourld of trobal and if it can be consistent with his will that we meat soon tell James Re that I would like to write to him but my eyes are to weak to day but if I can I will to morow but I thank him very mutch for sending me that half dolar and if I donte pay him/ God will I have not heard from the regment since I left it nor donte know whare thay are I wroat to John the same day that I did to you but have not heard from him yet so I gess thay are on A martch so that thay dont get the mail he was well when I left I will have to bring this to A close write hear as long as you get an answer and ceep one on the road but dont send mutch in A letar at one time if you send aney thing so that it wont be mutch los if I dont get it no more at presant my love to you all and belive me ever your loving husband untill death
