                                                                                    Convelesant Camp Aug 19/63
 
                                                Dear wife with plesure I take this oppertunity to write you A few lines in answer to your kinde letar of the 15teenth but I was very sorey to hear that the children was so bad and glad to hear that the rest of you all wear well my helth is pritey fair but my right eye is very weak and I cant stand the sun with it nor the light of A caldel very well the lettar you sent to the hospital I have not got nor I have not heard from the regment but the lettar you sent thare was forwared to me but no line with it to let me know whough sent it I would like to com home real well but am fraid that I cant if I had som thing very ergant to call me home I would stand A bettar chance but still it/ would be doutfull thare is not aney thing to write this time but I thought that you could get this by Saturday night no more at presant my love to you all from your loving
