Camp Near Warington Junct
Dear wife it is with plesure I set down to answer your kind lettar of the 28 to let you know that I am well at presant and hope that this will find you all the same we have to march every day or tow we ceep advancin as fast as thay get the railroad fixt so as tow get our suplies through but how far we will go this fall I cant tell we doant know what hour we will have to pack up and start and we doant have much time to our selves John Swanson is well at presant and/ abel to eat his rations Fay Compey is A privat and probaley allways will be thoes shirts if Gibson is not coming soon you may send them by mail thay will com as safe now as aney time for our mail comes very regular and you may send tow pair of sockes if you have got them and A little thread I am in hopes that we will get intow winter quarters before long but cant tell yet but when we do I will try and get A furlow thare will be no chance for recruting for this regment thay are filling up with concrips we have had over 200 hand/ men now and probely will have more we was mustar yestarday for pay probley get payed som time this month som of the boyes wont have over tow dolar coming to them for thare clothing bill is nearly 80 dol but mine is not quite as hy and I will draw som extry pay for Sargent thare is not much to write this time tell Ella that I will be very glad to get A lettar from her an glad to hear she is lerning so well no more at presant write soon my love to all from your ever devotid husband
