                                                                                                            Dear wife it is with plesure that I take my pen in hand to let you know that I am well at presant and hope that theas few lines will find you all the same since I last roate to you I have bin acting ordaly Sargent for our ordaly is at home on A furlow and so I have found out that O B Gibson is A Privat of Co E and will have to carey A napsack and gun if he ever comes back this is Sunday but it doant look mutch like the Sundays we have spet at home I wish that I could com home and/ spend one Sunday with you John Swanson is well at presant thare was A nother man died yestarday with the feaver thare is A good meney sick in the regment now George W Cook from Camden is very sick with the dieorear thay tell me that the furlows ar stoped for 30 days on the acount of the oald soldiears reinlisting and going home on 35 days furlow so that I will have to wait som time if I get A furlow at all I will give you A short lettar this time for I have not got time to write so no more at presant my love to all and believe me ever your loving husband
