                                                                                                                        Dear and ever Belovid wife it is with plesure that I sit my self down to answer your kind letter of the 12th an was very glad to hear from you I received it just about 2 hours before comencing this I am all alone in my tent to night for John and Harter is out on the railroad gard thay stay out 2 days at A time and Parish our other tent maite is on camp gard so that I am alone this evning Harter is one of the oald 146 he is from Bridgewater Oneida Co Parish is one of the men that came to ous last fall he came from som place/ near Bufalow he is not aney relation to Parish in Amboy I forgot to tell you that I was well at presant an hope that this will find you all enjoying the same Blessing tell Ma that I am glad that the ring fites so well for I was afraid it was tow larg it is H Harter that makes thoes ringes he getes the guttaprtia from home and Silver coin and the more you wair them the bettar thay look Marey I know that you have hard times to get along but ceep up good chear for thare is one that will takear of thoes that put thar trust in him and the day may not be far distant when we may meat around our/ familey sirkel to enjoy the sosiety of each other I will send you one dolar in this so that you can mail your lettars it is half that I have got or I would send you more but we expect to be payed soon again and then I hope to send you anoff to do som good Frank Secor has just come in he wantes you to tell his wife that he aint A going to write to her untill he hears from her he sendes five dolars in this whitch he wantes you to hand to her Frank is driving Muels he says that is bettar than caring A heavy napsack I wish you could see him riding one and driving six with onley one line in his hand/
 
I will have to bring this to A cloes for it is roal call an it is moste time for bead I have just bin out and answerd to my name once more so no more at presant my love to all write soon and believe me now and ever your loving
