                                                                                                            Dear wife it is with plesure that I emprove theas few moments to answer your kind lettar of the 8th and was glad to hear from you but sory to hear that Miney had bin sick though if you had not said aney thing about her getting bettar I would of tried to got A furlow on hear acount but I doant know as thay ar ever going to pay ous off so as I can get money anoff to come home but will try if I get the chance I am well at presant and hope that theas few lines will find you all enjoying the same blessing from God for it is A bessing to have good health Mr Ezra Edgert is hear now he startes back tomorrow morning it dos me good to see some one from Camden but would rather see my own familey than aney one else Oh Mary how I wished that I could come home for A short time if not longar for it dos seam as if I could fly when in A thoghtful state of minde we have got to yues deseption/ to ceepe up our fealings at sometimes you cant emadgin how mutch good A kinde lettar from home dos one at that time John Swanson is well at presant he is writing to his wife thare is all kindes of rumars about our moving from hear but I realey hope that thay will let ous stay hear this sumar but we must trust in God for he is abel to save ous in battal as well as aney whare else so let ous put our trust in his merses so that if it is his will wee may meat around our familey sirkel once more you spoke of going to A donation to see A ordley Sargent of our Company it must of bin Henry Rodgers let me know what he has got to say about ous and what his fealings are about the war I have just destroyed my alowance for dinar it was bean supe four soup to one bean and pa doge would not eat it but we have got very good bread thare is not mutch news to write I would like to send you some thing by Mr Edgert but I have nothing that I can send so no more at this time write oftan my love to you all and believe me as your ever loving
