1st Battle of Bulls run lost 20 per cent in
killed wounded and taken prisoners July 27 1861
2nd Skirmish and entrance of Berryvill Va Mar 5th 1862
3rd Siege of Yorktown from April 5th to May 3rd 1862
4th Skirmish before Yorktown Apr 28th by our
Company in the night while on picket.
5th Battle of West Point May 5th 1862
6th Battle of Fair Oaks May 31st & June 1st 1862
7th Battle of Peach Orchard June 29th 1862
8th Battle of Savage Station June 29th 1862
9th Battle of White Oak Swamp June 30th 1862
10th Battle of Melvern Hill July 1st 1862
11th Skirmish near Fairfax Va Sept 1st 1862
12 Battle of Antietam Md Sept 17th 1862
13 Battle of Fredericksburg Va Jany 1863
In all these Battles and skirmishes our
Regement has been more or less engaged/
When not engaged entirely against
it has been supporting a battery which
is as hazardous as engaging infantry
so you can preceive our Regement has
been through a great deal and needs
a little rest and recruiting.
