My Dear Coesin
As the wether is groing colder and you have A blanket an coat for me I thought that I would write to you to send them to me as I had to leave my blankets at Point Lookout I have but one thin one hear Coesin plese send me a heavey Blanket or an old quilt if you have a spair one I will be very greatfull to you if it is convenient with you to do so you can send me 5 pounds of the cheapest shugar that you can bie also 3 pounds of coffee or a litle tea an A peck of dried fruit also send me 2 loves of salt risen Bread as I would like to eat some of your Make ask uncle William to send me too plugs of chewing Tobacco if you send me the artickles I named I think I can stand the winter hear very well Coesin I will pay you well for your troble that you have bin for me since I have bin a prisoner if I am ever relieved give my love to uncle William an aunt Braun also to Miss Sarah Write soon I am your devoted Coesin
