“The Court was cleared and after mature deliberation finds the accused, Private John Ford, Co. “G” 8th Regiment Ind. Vol. Infantry, transferred to Co. “E” 69th Ind. Vols. Infantry, as follows:
“Of the 1st Specification “Guilty.”
“Of the 2d Specification “Not Guilty”
“Of the Charge. “Guilty”
“And the Court does therefore sentence him, Private John Ford Company “G” 8th Regiment Ind. Vol. Infantry transferred to Co. E. 69th Regt. Vol. Infty. to forfeit one years pay and allowances, and to serve Six months at hard labor on Government works at such place as proper authority may direct, and shall serve one year as a soldier after the expiration of his present term of enlistment.

“The proceedings, findings, and sentence in this case are approved, and the sentence will be executed. The prisoner will be turned over to the officer Com’d’g. Fort Esperanza, to await transportation to Fort Jefferson, Florida. At the expiration of his term of confinement he will be returned to his Regiment, the Com’d’g officer of which is charged with the execution of the last clause of the sentence.”
