Sir:

                        I have the honor to transmit, herewith, a copy of “findings and sentence of a General Court Martial, in the case of John Ford, private Co. “G” 8^th Regt. Ind. Vols.”

 

                        Said Private John Ford was transferred, under arrest, to Co. “E” 69^th Ind. Vol. Inf. and afterwards re-transferred to his original Co. no papers accompanying him. As his term of enlistment was near complete I addressed a communication to Brig. Genl. J. Holt, Judge Adv. Genl. U.S.A. for a copy of papers relating to said case and received them of which the accompanying is a true copy.

 

                        I respectfully ask that an order be issued to enable me to dispose of said private John Ford so as to carry out the sentence of said Court Martial
