O. P. Taylor got a letter from Richard last Saturday & answered it a sunday
Camp Butler July 10 1862
Dear Cosin I seat myself this reigny morning for the purpusses of Drafing you a few lines to let you know that I am wel at presant hoping when those few lines come to hand they ma find you & all the rest enjoying the same blessing of helth the helth of the boys very good at this time I hav nothing of intrest to communicate to you I resceived two letters from you & hav not re answered both of them but hav not resceived any answer to the last one yet I think it is a bout time I would bee glad to see you & bee there to go to see the girls but as I aint thare you must talk for me & not take the advantage of me be caus I amnot there I hope the time is not far distant when we wil bee parmited to meat a gain. R. T Jones is well & harty & as frisky as ever we had a very prtty reign last knight & it reigning some yet as we ar limited to one page I must bring my letter to a Close by saying write as soon as you get this letter giv me the point tel the rest to write to me soon so nothing more at presant ony remain your affectionate Cosin un til Death C Highsmith
