Mr Wiliam Hoskins.
Dear Friend.
I have just Recieved your kind and welcom letter of January 29th and seat myself to awnser the same I have bin at this Prison twoo months and have bin anxiously wating For you to wright to mee I did not know but what that you had married and gon to live somwhareels so I did not wright but your letter which com to had this morning tells me very difernt you say in your letter that John is at hom I am glad to hear that he is still living I have not herd from him since he was woonded till know the wether has bin extreemly cold hear colder then I ever seen before I have ejoyed good health since I left home better than I ever enjoyed befor I want you to wright as soon as you get this and let me know all the changes in the naberhood give my best respects to your Father and Family and Recieve a good portion to yourself
