Dear Father
I seate myself this eavning for the purpose of conversing a few lines with you by way of penmanship it has bin more than a weeake sence I have heard from you I have bin very unwell for the last eigt or tenn days with a sevier attackt of head Ache caused I think from cod taken since I have bin at this place I have nothing interesting to relate to you the health of this Prison is very good at presant thare is some few cases of the smallpox hear I think that wee will all starte to Dixy this spring as soon as you get this letter I want you to wright to me about your farm stock & fish Trap & the naberhood news let me now know if John Harden Crouch has married yet tell ha him that he must wright to me
for the Presant I must Close Give my best love to ma and all the Children and all enquireing Friends.
