Dear Father
Your letter of the 15th of may has bin in my pessesion six days I rote the day before as it was my day in case so that I should not loos time you say in your letter that you want me to bee positive in the way that I wright to you this time you say wood I take the Oath provided I had the chance I most assuredly would and come home and stay thare too I have no assurance of being allowed to do so at the presant time but if I can at any future time my intention is to come home and stay thare if I can I think that all that have left this place wer released on bonds or petitions to the Secetary of ware at washington city probaly you could have me released I do not know I would be very glad to see you an hear you talk about home you say that you think of coming to see me I am not well a nuf informed to advise you I am enjoying a reasonable portion of health at this tim I hope that when this reaches you that those who wer sick when you last rote may bee well
give my love to ma and the children
