Dear Brother
                        according to promis I shall wright to you to day I am not very well to day I have bin more or less sick evry day for the last weeake I have have had the flux but not dangerous I hope I will bee well in a few days pas letter of the twenty seventh came to hand yesterday I am sorry that you are not all well I feel very anxious about the wellfare of any person of the family who may bee sick as I am a long way from hom and liable not to hear from you when I would so wilingly fly to you in the hour of sickness if it wer in my power to do so you all must trust to an all wise providence for his care and protection he who is so willing to throw the mantle of his loving kindness round about us and shelter us from all harm tell pa that he may send my cloths if they ar ready he spoke of having som Tobaco tell him to send it in the Box if convieniant I do not use a greate deal of Tobaco I do not think I shall ever become a slave to the use of Tobaco as is too much the case with a greate many pa mentioned uncl alferdes bad health alas I can truly simpathise with them in the loss of so many of thare family you may tell william and John Hoskins that they must wright oftener or I shall forget them I fear I would corriespond with them if it wer in my power give my love to ma pa & all the Children
