Dear Father
                        this Eavning I will attempt in my feeble way to wight to you again laste sunday when I wrote to you I was not well but to day I am in perfect health as far as I can tell I have not heard from you this weake as I have each weake for the laste month I hope you get my letters regular as this is the only means of our communicating with each other I have nothing strange to tell you to say the halth of the boys hear is better than could bee expected I wrote in my laste letters for you to send my cloths and mabee before this you have started them if you have not you may send them immediately only one suite of Outeside clothing and a change of under clothing all so the Tobaco you mentioned in your letter if you have not sent the Tobaco with the cloths do not trouble yourself with it for I have incured too much expence uppon you all redy but it has bin unavoidable upon my part and I shall ever bee I will not say gratefull for this would only bee a faint idea of the overflowing of my inermost soule but let these lines convince you that the Remembrance of your favors is treasured in a hart always loving and bound up with your welfare reguardeless of eany thing that may transpire in this eventfull life for this time I must close give my love to ma & all the children allso recieve a good portion to your self remember me to all enquireing friends
