Dear Father
Yours of the Twenty Ninth of september came to hand October the 6th I was a little surprised at the lateness of the hour you wrote I thought of nothing els but sickness or som other misfortune but when Reading I was Agreeably mistaken I recollect very well that you ar not like most people about sleep I am in the same condition I cannot rest untill late in the knight I am in splendid health at this time the health of the Boys in Oour Camp as a gineral thing is very good at presant I recieved my clothing last Friday was a weake ago I got evry thing but the Tobaco that you say you forgot but will send in Mr Stoaks Box Evry thing fits as well as if I had bin thare at the time they wer made I will be very carfull with them and make them las as long as they will for clothing is hard for a man to get when in Prison you say that Colman Highsmith was captured but you never said whare he was sent you must wright when you get this and let me know whare he is sent to
