Dear Father
                        I Recieved yours of October the 14th yesterday Eavning I was glad to hear from home that you & Family & connection wer all well I am not very sick not dangerous but at the same time I do not enjoy very good health at presant I have a sevier Coff but I shall soon bee well of that I hope I do not expect to bee Blessed with good health if I remain away from home I am continualy in a deep study at times all most Insain you can well imagin about what I am discontented I try very harde to hope that I shall soon come home but am as often met with with wilde and unplesant conjectures that Blast and distroy my Brightest hopes of future enjoyment I wrote to you on the sixteenth twoo day after my Birth day I thought of nothing els but home and its past associations of the many Bright and plesant Birthdays that I have spent in the midst of friend and Relatives and I may have sade somthing in my wilde and distracted mind that would bee imposible to bee accomplished I have Referance to what I saide about having me petitioned out of this place wee had better waite perhaps untill thare is somthing don in behalf of Prisoners which I have no doubt thare will bee some time but when I cannot tell it may bee when you and I ar gon to whare the wicked cease to trouble Mr Stoakes has not Recieved any money yet but will soon the comisary of Prisoners has not bin in for some time the Boys of your acquaintance are all well wright in your next why Highram Grant was killed Colman Highsmith has not bin sent to this Prison   Your son
