Dear Father
Yours of the tenth of this month came to had one the Eighteenth allso my my tobaco one the fifteenth I recieved twenty twists of tobaco and nine hands one cap & one par of suspenders the tobaco is very fine and just eaqual to six dollars to mee I have sold a portion of it and shall holde the remainder for hard times I wrote in my laste for you to send me in each letter a sum of money under seventy five cents it would bee allowed to come in to mee but I have got my tobaco since and its sufficient for the presant you may waite untill I wright for money I am as stingy as I can beewithe propriety thar are a greate many hear that depend solly own Beging which is a poor dependence as it is the policy of those that have plenty to accomidate Self first My coff is a bout the saime this climate dose not agree with mee the colde is too sevier and I am very easy to cetch colde though I shall bee as cautious as posible and I think I will bee in a maner saif frome the consequences of the climate the Boys hear are in very good health if I am not mistaken twoo years have past since I was at home last what a greate change has taken place since then with some whilste others stand as Iperishable Granite owne the saime Moral Road
